Destinations Rajgundha

A small village lying between the Dhauladhar Ranges, Rajgundha Valley is not connected by any roads. This is why it is a popular trekking spot for all the adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. A village full of life and energy, Rajgundha follows the old ways of living and believes in self-sustenance.

Referred often along with its twin village, Kukkar Gundha, Rajgundha village has a beautiful environment. Situated at a height of approximately 8900 ft., this village is surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and witnesses beautiful sunsets and sunrises every day.

There are a couple of villages in the Rajgundha valley which are connected to each other which can only be reached via walking or by hiring a mule.

The Himalayas are replete with many amazing treks, many of them are known and others are a little offbeat. One thing that you will find in common for all of them is that they are all wonderful and worth giving a try.

Talking about offbeat, the Rajgundha trek in the Kangra region is a lesser known and must try experience. Starting from the tea heaven of Palampur, the expedition leads out to Bir, then onto the quaint little village of Barot before moving onto the beautiful and colorful valley of Rajgundha.
